About the party

A party of citizens, organised for one Kenya

The Universal Unity Party (UUP) is registered in Nairobi and organised in every region — a home for Kenyans who believe unity and honesty are the shortest road to prosperity.

Our story

Why we exist

UUP was founded by teachers, traders, nurses, boda riders and young professionals who had watched election after election turn neighbours into rivals. We concluded that Kenya's biggest deficit was not resources — it was trust.

So we built a party differently. Membership is open and recorded in the daylight. Contributions carry references and are reported back to the people who gave them. Branch committees — not a small circle of financiers — set the priorities the party must carry to Parliament and to county assemblies.

Our name is our instruction: universal, because no Kenyan is excluded, and unity, because a divided country cannot build anything that lasts.

Our vision

A united, prosperous and self-respecting Kenya in which every citizen — regardless of tribe, faith, gender or income — has a fair chance at a dignified life.

Our mission

To organise Kenyans into a disciplined national movement that wins power honestly and uses it to deliver jobs, health, education and clean government — measured in public.

Core values

The rules we hold ourselves to

01

Unity

We campaign for votes, never against communities.

02

Integrity

Public money is a trust. Breaking it ends a UUP career.

03

Service

Leadership is work, not a reward or a title.

04

Equity

Youth, women and persons with disability lead, not observe.

05

Accountability

Open books, published pledges, reported results.

06

Courage

We say the same thing in Nairobi as we do at home.

Party officials

Our leadership

The National Executive Committee serves a fixed term and reports to the members who elected it.
